How it works – deep cleaning without damaging the surface
Osprey is based on an ultra-high-pressure water pump which delivers water at up to 2,800 bar to the rotary cleaning head and delivers a laser like stream of water to the highway surface through high quality nozzle inserts. The binder deposits or paint is progressively removed from the surface as the jet head rotates and travels across the surface. Residue is subsequently removed from the head under vacuum to the debris tank.

Linear units – fast solutions for surface re-texturing
The Linear Osprey has a fixed cleaning head and is available in various widths up to 2200mm, allowing rubber removal at over 4000 m2/hr. Removable jet bars in the cleaning heads allows the operating width to be reduced for smaller areas e.g. line removal or cleaning.
Lateral units – variable width cleaning that offers easy cleaning and paint removal
The robotic Lateral Osprey operates with a more precise means to clean surfaces or remove paint. It has a 300mm diameter head which moves across the front of the vehicle synchronized with the forward speed of the vehicle.
This is ‘state of the art’ deposit and paint removal which may be precisely controlled with millimeter accuracy, with widths continuously adjustable between 300mm and 2200mm.
By monitoring the forward speed of the vehicle, the computer controlled robotic head moves at 90deg to the forward motion ensuring accurate coverage and complete cleaning of friction grooves without damage to the surface. The lateral system offers precision rubber removal and extremely high penetration levels without damaging the highway surface. Operational speeds of up to 1400 M2 /hr. are possible.
