OSPREY RUBBER AND LINE MARKING REMOVAL

DCP Airports SAS has recently taken delivery of two 32 tonne OSPREY Runway Rubber Removal Units designed and manufactured by Jetting Systems.

These latest Osprey machines are mounted on Renault 8 x 4 chassis and have an operational time capability of over 4 hours. The CNC Servo motor drives ensure that the rubber removal head accurately removes rubber from the runway surface without causing any damage to the surface.

The new operating system now enables the operator to select a full 2000mm removal path or a narrower path for removing rubber from the centre line marking. The system is easily controlled and rubber deposits may be removed without the removal of the lines. A simple change to the operating parameters then enables the operator to select complete line marking removal.

DCP Airports are now operating throughout France and surrounding countries on both road and runway maintenance contracts. The reliability and ease of operation of the Osprey equipment were a key factor in the decision of DCP to purchase the equipment from Jetting Systems.

EAZY-LIFT Magnetic Manhole Lifter

Following successful trials a major UK Water Authority recently took delivery of 134 Jetting Systems EAZY-LIFT magnetic manhole cover lifters.

Key features that helped clinch the contract were the ability to wheel the complete assembly from vehicle to manhole to minimize manual handling, and a telescopic frame with variable positioning to suit the wide size range of covers and operational personnel.

Alternative magnet sizes are available to suit the size and weight of the covers to be lifted.

Despite the extremely tight timescale involved the project was completed on schedule.

The latter part of 2009 finished with a flourish, with 2 further OSPREY Runway Rubber Removal trucks being delivered and a significant export contract concluded on time and on budget.

We welcomed representatives of Baghdad International Airport to the factory for a training and equipment acceptance visit and their OSPREY resplendent with company crest and sign written in Arabic arrived at the airport in October and commenced work immediately.

The second OSPREY with many new and unique features including radio remote control of various functions, was delivered to UK based Foster Contracting in November and supplements their existing fleet of Jetting Systems products.

November also saw the arrival of representatives from Libya to inspect and accept a fleet of 10 twin axle, 200 gallon drain and sewer cleaning trailers for cleaning local networks, which were delivered in December.

Continuing to buck the current trend prospects for 2010 look equally exciting, with orders for CCTV equipment in hand and a further two OSPREY orders already in build.
