Reactor Vessel and IBC and Vessel Cleaning
In the production of most chemicals or petrochemicals, the internal surfaces of reactors and vessels must be cleaned on a regular basis. There is usually a build up of contamination on the reactor walls and on the agitator blade surfaces. This build up results in inefficiencies and also the risk of down stream contamination due to debris falling off.

Clean vessels result in faster batch runs, lower plant operating costs and less down time due to downstream contamination.

Short description of the various URACA Tank Cleaning Head designs

All URACA Tank Cleaning Heads benefit from:

  • easy installation
  • gaskets of high service life
  • compact design for minimum dimensions and weight
  • smooth casing surface: no interlocking/negligible contamination
  • cleaning temperature up to 95C
  • wear free, totally enclosed solenoid brake with a wide setting range
  • all sizes to be supplied with long rotors and compact rotors
  • extensive accessories options

Special features of URACA Tank Cleaning Heads

A) In Standard Design
*maximum operating pressures *short interference circuit *high corrosion resistance

B) In Chemical Design
*high resistance against steel, acids and alkaline  *extremely low flow resistance

C) In VC Gas Design
*high resistance also for use in aggressive gas and dust atmospheres

3 Dimensional Cleaning.
Our URACA TWK tank cleaning heads rotate in two axis thereby reaching all areas within the vessel. Our advanced nozzle technology ensures that the water jet is focussed into the most effective cleaning and cutting tool that never becomes blunt and never requires sharpening!

Gas Tight Systems.
In some situations it is critical that gases from inside the vessel are contained, either due to the risk of explosion or because the gasses may be hazardous to health. URACA are now able to offer reactor cleaning systems that are certified to ATEX 2T3. Please contact us for more details.

Hose Reel Systems
These may be fixed above a single vessel, transported via overhead tracks or moved by crane from vessel to vessel

The hose reel stores the high-pressure hose on the end of which the cleaning head is located. The hose reel may be operated and the head lowered into the vessel stopping at predetermined positions to clean all surfaces.

Positioning Devices
For positioning the cleaning head in the correct place so that the water jet can impact on hard to reach areas.

Telescopic Units.
These may be automated and fully clean vessels on a set cycle corresponding with production timings.

All of our vessel cleaning equipment may be permanently mounted on the vessel and the heads stored in an isolated garage chamber. In this way set up times are minimised and the equipment is always ready for use.
